PRAYER & WORSHIP
6th MAY 2021
There are not many experiences that any of us want to continue from the season of COVID, but one small positive has been the establishment of new networks where participants are far too geographically spread out to have met in person regularly, but through Zoom they can come together without hours of physical travel.
We will be meeting on the first Thursday in May, June and July as such a network of children's and youth workers, church leaders, parents/carers and others online with a mug in hand ready to chat, pray and worship together for an hour to encourage, network and seek God's presence. Totally free, everyone is welcome.
JUST LIKE JESUS
WITH INPUT FROM:
Matt SUMMERFIELD (ZEO CHURCH, LIVE LIFE 123)
DAVID WESTLAKE (INTERNATIONAL JUSTICE MISSION)
DAN RANDALL (HOPE TOGETHER)
DAVID ROBERTS (Children Matter)
SHONA HUNTER-SINGH (GOLD HILL BAPTIST CHURCH)
RUTH ROBERTSON (KINGSLEY HALL CHURCH)
22nd April 2021
As we emerge into the 'new normal', into this world of COVID, climate change and a new focus on struggles for justice, the church needs to radically reimagine what it means for children and young people to be disciples as more and more of them want to be agents of change rather than just learning about changes that happened thousands of years ago.
Join us as we explore how engaging children and young people in being Just, Like Jesus can make them Just Like Jesus.
WITH INPUT FROM:
Jonathan mann (Children's society)
STEPHEN TIMMS (MP (EAST HAM) LABOUR PARTY FAITH ENVOY)
cristina odone (Centre for Social justice)
colin bennett (former vice principAL, moorlands college)

robert stevenette (tlg)
joel harris (kiNtsugi hope)
14th JAN 2021
Even before the COVID19 crisis, the Children's Society's annual "Good Childhood" report was charting a continued decrease in happiness among 10-15 year olds in the UK. In 2020, 15 year olds in the UK were among the saddest and least satisfied with their lives in Europe.
That cannot be what the Lord wants for our children and we will be exploring together how we as workers, parents, volunteers and church leaders can respond in 2021 and, in Jesus' name, make it the year that the tide begins to turn.
LIKE NO OTHER
with INPUT FROM A WIDE VARIETY OF CHILDREN's, YOUTH AND FAMILIES' MINISTRY PRACTITIONERS AND AGENCIES
12th NOV 2020
By mid November we hope to have a fair idea of what the COVID19 restrictions around Christmas celebrations will be, so join us to share in a wide variety of presentations, discussion and debate around just how we celebrate the birth of Light in a season that this year feels full of darkness.
With input from major mission agencies and workers on the ground with great ideas, come and find inspiration on how we can reimagine Christingle, rework the Nativity and engage with children, young people and families in a brand new way this Christmas.
with DAN RANDALL
8th Oct 2020
COVID19 accelerated the shift of children's and young people's worlds from face to face to online. With everything from PE lessons to GP appointments now available on screen, to be absent from the internet is to be out of sight and out of mind.
Dan Randall shared his insights on how we safely and effectively engage in the online space, exploring how to effectively share the Gospel online and equip our children and young people to do the same. All full resource pack accompanying his session can be downloaded for free by clicking here.
THE NEW NORMAL
with Dr KATE MIDDLETON
(MIND AND SOUL)
3rd SEPT 2020
Every family in the UK has experienced trauma in the last few months. From the disruption of routine to the loss of friends and family members, COVID19 has impacted on every aspect of children's and young people's lives.
Dr Kate Middleton shared on how we can promote wellbeing through our ministry in the 'new normal' as well as caring for ourselves as we seek to bless others and you can watch part of her talk here. All full resource pack accompanying her session can be downloaded for free by clicking here.
Faith at Home
with rachel turner
(parenting for faith)
16th July 2020
Raising children in the faith has always primarily been the responsibility of parents and carers, but this fact has been brought into sharper focus than ever through the COVID19 outbreak.
Rachel Turner shared on how we can seize this moment to root faith in the home and equip parents and carers to make children and young people to be today's passionate disciples. You can watch part of Rachel's talk here and you can download a full resource pack bursting with ideas around bringing faith into the home from here..
